Outdoor activities on Texel

Almost all visitors to Texel come to enjoy the outdoors! Texel´s beautiful nature – the wide beach, the dunes, the Mudflats (Wad) – has its charms in every season.

Most activities are possible throughout the year, such as:

• walking along the beach, through the dunes or in the woods
• cycling along its many bicycle lanes
• seeing Texel from the back of a horse or by horse and carriage
• beach sailing, seal trips, kite flying and survival trips

There are a number of typical Texel activities, like:

• a visit to Ecomare
• skydiving from the paracentrum Texel
• golf on Texel´s 16-hole golf course de Texelse
• Texel Culinair top-notch dining out
• De Jager observatory is a magificent experience on a clear night

You can register for most of the arranged activities. This is especially recommended when it is in season because there could be limited places. However, it is also advisable even when not in season, as some activities only take place when there are sufficient numbers.
