May is a wonderful time to go on holiday. Spring has sprung and everything is fresh and green. A good time for a long beach walk and a lovely bike ride. Avoiding the crowds on Texel goes best if you come between school holidays and public holidays for a week, midweek or Long Weekend or just a few days in May.

So there is the official May holidays and the preceding week or the following week (which then sometimes coincides with ascension).
